Exhibit Hall

EXHIBIT HALL APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO APPLIED! YOU’LL HEAR FROM US LATER IN NOVEMBER.

Do you make taxidermy, terrariums or other nature-inspired creations? Is your art informed by the wild, the wondrous, or the weird? Are you a seller of antique curiosities, specimens or artifacts? We invite you to apply for the Curious Gallery 2017 Exhibit Hall!

Now in our fourth year, our event will be held Saturday & Sunday, January 7-8, 2017 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1441 NE 2nd Avenue, Portland, Oregon. Vending hours are tentatively set at 10am – 6pm each day, with setup available both Friday evening and Saturday morning. Vendors are required to be present and public-ready during these hours on both days of the event.

As in previous years, we are keeping our vending area small (likely around 16 vendors) and carefully curated for quality and variety. Demand for vending space has traditionally been high, so please get your applications in as soon as possible. Application deadline is November 10, firm. We will notify vendors of their status ASAP and invoice accepted vendors by November 20; booth fees are due no later than December 15. Please do NOT send payment until you have been invoiced!

Your booth/table will include two weekend passes, and you will still be able to buy additional passes at a discount.  Please note that the vendors are arranged in the main room of the event, so there will be panels and other programming happening onstage all day. Our vendors have historically appreciated being able to enjoy programming throughout the weekend, as well as the flow of attendees going to and from the staging area. We do try to keep the volume reasonable; most programming involves one person speaking at a normal volume through a microphone.

We are sorry, but we are unable to allow human remains in the vendor area or the art show. For vendors selling animal, plant or other natural specimens, historical/cultural artifacts, or art made with the same, please be aware of federal and Oregon state laws governing the sale and possession of these items. A database of animal parts laws may be found at http://www.thegreenwolf.com/animal-parts-laws . If you are unsure of the legality of an item, please contact us at exhibits@curiousgallerypdx.com so we can refer you to the proper agency to ask questions. We reserve the rights to ask a vendor to remove items from the premises and to refuse service.
