Curious Gallery will take place January 7th and 8th, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown-Convention Center (OR). The application deadline is December 23, 2016. Upon acceptance, artists will receive a participation packet including a contract and art information form. A hanging fee of $40 per artist will be required at the time the artwork is accepted (which will cover a maximum of 8 pieces of art per artist as selected by Curious Gallery), and a 20% commission will be collected by Curious Gallery for any artwork sold at the event. We are sorry, but we are unable to allow human remains in the vendor area or the art show. For artists making art from animal, plant or other natural specimens, or historical/cultural artifacts, please be aware of federal and Oregon state laws governing the sale and possession of these items. A database of animal parts laws may be found at http://www.thegreenwolf.com/animal-parts-laws. If you are unsure of the legality of an item, please contact curator(at)curiousgallerypdx.com so we can refer you to the proper agency to ask questions. We reserve the rights to ask an artist to remove items from the premises and to refuse service.
